There are not too many things that you are fortunate enough to be present at that really do rock your world. They affect you emotionally, challenge you and remind you of the importance and power of self and the selflessness of others. Along with this, you are witness to the immense resilience of people who overcome massive challenges to achieve the unthinkable. Truly hair tingling and awe inspiring stuff. Yesterday was such a day at the Howes Percival business breakfast perfectly hosted by the lovable and ‘character full’ Gordon Simpson 🌟🌟 First up someone I haven’t seen in some while and enjoyed working with way back Jon Thaxton. A great character he is now heading up an amazing community service Able2B with Rachael Hutchinson MB ChB MD FRCS (Tr and Orth) The brilliant team work to improve functionary movement with various and often fully debilitating disability. Working on cardiovascular progression, aerobic fitness, confidence and self belief they really do change lives. Giving the hope for many who have been told they have little medical opportunity for improvement and a sedentary existence. I don’t believe too many folks were short of tears during Jon’s inspiring and emotional talk.
